About Us
The Venue
In 2013, a small group of local people agreed that Crowborough had been without a cinema for too long. They decided to change all that and bring cinema to the excellent facilities at the Crowborough Community Centre. Pine Grove Pictures (PGP) was born. Woody Allen’s ‘Midnight In Paris’ was the inaugural screening in January 2014, played to a packed house. The PGP team were overwhelmed by the response and since then have staged monthly screenings to enthusiastic local cinema-goers. Following on from that first film, PGP has screened ‘ North By Northwest’, ‘Philomena’, ‘The Intouchables’, ‘Sunshine On Leith’, ‘Gravity’, ‘Jack Reacher’, and Captain Phillips’.

It is our aim to offer more than just films but to create a really good evening for everyone who attends. The Bar opens an hour before the film starts at 8.00 p.m., where everyone can enjoy a glass of wine or beer and chat with friends.

So, what are you waiting for? Affordable cinema is now on your doorstep. Come along to the next film - you'll be amazed how many familiar faces you will see and there truly is something for everyone.

Pine Grove Pictures is a full member of the British Federation of Film Societies (BFFS) and is a not-for-profit venture.
Pine Grove Pictures is hosted by The Crowborough Centre , a modern well-equiped venue with HD projection and surround sound capabilities. The Main Hall is capable of seating 300 people and the raised stage and screen means that everyone has a good view of the film.

Pine Grove Pictures screens popular and mainstream films in the Man Hall and Pine Grove Extra is screened in a large but comfortably appointed and more intimate meeting room downstairs next to the cafe. Do come and join us!
